| Description: |
Built in 1978 for Santa Fe as C30-7 8060, this diesel served ATSF for 16 years and was returned to GE in March 1994. It was immediately sold to Conrail for lease service, renumbered 536 and given a blue dip job. In January 1999 this locomotive was returned to GE and rebuilt for UP and emerged as C36M 536. UP was less than impressed by these rebuilds and returned these units to GE just under a year later. |
