The conductor waves at the northbound as he gets ready to give them a roll by. The plan was to have this be an entry in the Out and Back album, but this was the end of the chase. I beat it to Stilwell, which I made ahead of the train, which isnt hard to do if you dont drag your feet. I heard the detector at MP 261 go off, but the transmission cut off before I could hear any details. Thats about 3 1/2 miles from Stilwell; the train should have showed in about five more minutes. He must have had a hit on the detector, as 20minutes later, still no northbound. So it goes.... |
