Album Info:In 1993, CP and ASEA-Brown-Boveri sponsored research and development into a high speed train set, which would eventually become the basis for the Acela trains. The model was on display in Washington, and ran back to Canada via a D&H routing through Binghamton, then over the Southern Tier to Toronto. I caught it on a gloomy July afternoon between Binghamton and Elmira.

Title:  X2000 meet BUOI
Description:  In photo that has "Erie" written all over it-note the space for the center siding, and the Erie "traffic light" signal in the distance, the X2000 meets BUOI just east of town. The only thing better would be a couple of EL SD45s-or maybe SD60s by this time-on the freight.
