Album Info:	As part of Conrail-contracted commuter operations for NJDOT, many former PC E-8's, ex-EL E-8 4014, and CR blue E-8 4022 joined the NJDOT stenciled GG1’s to serve the NY&LB at South Amboy in November, 1978. The few remaining PC E-7’s seen in March, 1978 were now gone.

NJDOT GG1 4876

Title:	NJDOT GG1 4876
Description:	NJDOT GG1 4876 waits for assignment in a line of former PRR GG1's at South Amboy. This same GG1 was the famous runaway that crashed through the concourse of Washington's Union Station in 1953, and was back on the rails 10 months later, rebuilt from 3 cutup sections by the Altoona shops. 4876 was one of the last remaining operating GG1's in October, 1983 when the final curtain fell by NJ Transit on the ageless electrics.
