Album Info:Here is a three-page article entitled "In Mr. Lincoln's Service." It was published originally in the September-October 1961 issue of "Pennsy" magazine, pages 18-20. No author is specified. "In 1861-65 nearly a million troops, more than traveled any other Northern railroad, plus vast quantities of essential supplies moved on the PRR and lines now part of its System: Northern Central; Cumberland Valley; Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne, & Chicago; Camden & Amboy; Panhandle; and the Philadelphia, Wilmington, & Baltimore."

Prominent here is PRR engine #331, a Class A (4-4-0) "American" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during 1865 and sold to E.H. Wilson in May of 1882.
