What you are looking at is former BN at York, Alabama where it crossed over the NS, former Southern. BN abandoned the old AT&N in 1991 when the ripped out the rails. However, they left behind things that have miraculously stayed in fairly good shape. THe BN had trackage rights over NS at Boligee where they would ride to York, unlock the switch and derail, proceed up to the small yard in York. Currently, former BN customer AT&N lumber still is going strong- but without rail service. |
