DIM Interurban #25 - Denver & Intermountain Rwy
Title:  DIM Interurban #25 - Denver & Intermountain Rwy
Description:  Built by the Woeber Car Company in 1911, this car spent its working life operating between Golden, Colorado and Denver between 1911 and 1950. The car was preserved and painstakingly restored by the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club. In 2010 the Club donated the car to the West Corridor Historical Rail Cooperative in Lakewood, Colorado, in the area where the car originally operated. This view that I took shows the car before restoration at the Colorado Railroad Museum. Wish I had understood the "light side" of photography back then!

CS Snow Plow 99201
Title:  CS Snow Plow 99201
Description:  Colorado & Southern snow plow #99201 was built in 1900 as CS #3 by the Cooke Locomotive & Machine Works. #3 was later renumbered CS #0270 and then #99201 and was eventually rebuilt in 1949. It operated on the Leadville to Climax line in Colorado until 1965. The large spinning blades at the front was operated by a self-contained steam engine inside the car, but the plow could not move under its own power. It had to be pushed by two or more locomotives depending on how deep the snow was. Now it resides at the Colorado RR Museum.

FCMR Trolley #22 - Fort Collins Municipal Rwy
Title:  FCMR Trolley #22 - Fort Collins Municipal Rwy
Description:  My new wife of less than a year inspects the controls in the Fort Collins Municipal Rwy trolley #22. This car was built by the American Car Company of St Louis in 1919 for Fort Collins, CO. After retirement, it was purchased by the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club in 1953 and eventually ended up at the Colorado RR Museum from 1958 to 1994. The Rocky Mountain Railroad Club began leasing No. 22 to the Pikes Peak Historical Street Railway Foundation (PPHSRF), in Colorado Springs, and the car was moved there in 1995. When the 10-year lease expired, the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club agreed to sell the streetcar to the PPHSRF, which has a short section of operational streetcar line. In 2007, PPHSRF, now doing business under the name of the former Colorado Springs & Interurban Railway (CS&IR), changed No. 22's current identity by giving it a new paint scheme and renumbering it as CS&IR No. 135. The trolley has gone through quite a few changes since I took this photo in 1976.
