Album Info:While most of the time was spent driving, and not much time in Chicago on the way back, I got what I wanted from the CSX. Along the way I stopped by the CN in Stevens Point, happily finding a few neat units lying about. Then onto Lafayette where the focus was on the CSX's J726 local, famous for SD40-2's. The semaphores have drawn people to this line for years, and I was able to get down there and shoot J726 going past them with a nice CR GP38-2 on the point. A few other SD40-2's, plus a nice C40-8 on the NS, a lone IAIS train at Blue Island, and that pretty much rounds the trip out. Enjoy this short but sweet venture, mostly in Hoosier country.

Description:  The usual slug set throttles up towards the roundhouse. After the WC power went away, I really didn't think I'd ever be at Point, but because of this trip, I was able to stop by in the waning hours to atleast shoot something.

Description:  Not an NS fan by any means, but I was more than happy to shoot this spartan cab C40-8 leading a train on the old N&W. Many of these were in storage, but since the GEVO mess, some have reclaimed high iron.
