Shoving back
Title:  Shoving back
Description:  Because of the track arrangement trains have to back into and out of the McGregor spur, which is actually a small piece of the Union Pacific line that ran from Moscow to Pullman. As a side note, although the conductor is not riding the shove, he is within sight distance and constant radio contact with the head end at all times during the move.

The new WIR pair
Title:  The new WIR pair
Description:  For a while, the WIR's usual set of power was the GP30 and a GP16. As of recent, the 30 and the F unit have become the standard power set. Not that I'm complaining mind you!

Welcome to Moscow Idaho.
Title:  Welcome to Moscow Idaho.
Description:  The W&I's usual power set of MRLX 6304 and WIR 20 rest at the switch for the Wilsion siding that serves McGregor Fertilizers. In the background, the recently renovated University of Idaho Kibbie Dome, home of the Vandals, stands proud and tall telling all that pass this way that this is Moscow Idaho. For the past two years, a faux Southern Pacific F unit and a red and black GP30 have also been common sights in Moscow during the spring and fall.
