Description:  An even broader view of the scene here this evening. To the left, CSX engines 2709 and 6210 are moving tank cars around. In the middle of the screen you can kinda see the Finger Lakes railway's yard. Looking to the right of the yard and across the CSX mainline, are two trains on the siding tracks behind the New York State fairgrounds. An ethanol train that is tied down, and a local Y train that will probably go from here to DeWitt yard.

Description:  A few hours ago this local train brought cars here from DeWitt for the New York, Susquehanna & Western and the Finger Lakes RR. At 16:15 they're just about done for the day here. They're moving out of the Finger Lakes yard and on to track 1, but before they go back to DeWitt, they'll have to reverse the train into the "pocket" siding behind Crucible to retrieve those cars.

Description:  DeWitt yard job Y111-06 has just started to make a mile and a half eastward reverse move on track 2 at CP286. They're headed for 84 Lumber where they'll spot the boxcar. The hopper and two tanks are going to a customer on the First Ward near CP291. I could'nt stay with the job long enough to see where the gons were going. This is the actual order of the cars: SMNX 044185, TBOX 662974, TILX 263639, SHPX 210569, SCL 133995, CSXT 915236, CSXT 486635, 486634, CSXT 485281.

Description:  This former UP end cab switcher is used by the Finger Lakes Railway to power its local yard job based in Solvay, NY. It's easy to see the big rolls of paper thanks to the fact that the boxcar door is open. It won't be going far though, this boxcar can not be used for interchange service, it's restricted to home rails only.
