Description:  Exactly a year ago I was in Cresson looking for the rail road observation deck and noticed this Bed and Breakfast. I checked it out, it appeared very promising, but there was no room at the Inn. I knew I had to come back. This year I made a reservation and stayed 2 nights. It was FANTASTIC!!! The whole place is railroad; there are hundreds of pictures, a library even the rooms are named after fallen flag railroads. There are no phones, no TV or air conditioning, but their absence was not even noticed. I read in a log book that the visitor had stayed there 32 times, I spoke to a fellow guest who had stayed there 60 times but he was a piker, the known record holder had been there 120 times. These statistics speak for themselves.

Description:  It is heaven to be rocking on the porch, cup of McDonald’s senior coffee in hand while the trains roll by. I found later that the B&B has coffee brewing all day. The more “hearty drinks come later”.

Polish Picnic at Mt Carmel church
Title:  Polish Picnic at Mt Carmel church
Description:  Annually on the third Sunday in august the Mt Carmel Polish Picnic is held. There is much food including golumpki, perogies and more traditional American picnic fare. There is dancing to both a Polka and a country/western band. There is bingo, adult table games and a beer garden. A terrific way to spend a summer Sunday.
