The last single unit Silverliner V, SPAX #738, is seen here making test runs up and down the Hyundai Rotem test track. Upon completion of the single unit, it was brought out for it's first test runs. The pantograph was raised and lowered several times while Rotem's production/ test team inspected and tweaked the train. When done, the MU was ran back and forth to test it's acceleration and braking. Testing concluded at 5pm (When the plant closes). More testing will be done before the unit is soon shipped off. After this unit is shipped off, only 2 cars, SPAX #881/882 (a married pair) will be tested and shipped finally completing SEPTA's 120 car order. |
