Description:  My friend Dan Heller was driving with his brother to Arizona in the summer of 1980, and knowing of my interest in trains, shot some photos from the car. This is an eastbound somewhere in western New Mexico. Looks like an SD 45 leading, with another in the trailing position. Not bad for a non fan from a moving car!!

Description:  The northern most location in the plains states, and the only place Santa Fe went in Nebraska, was Superior, a town it shared with a more familiar name to Cornhuskers, the BN. Still, there must have been some decent business on the line, judging by the five units parked here, including three GP 39's, a unit only a few roads bought.
