PRR Locomotive Roster, Page 62, OCT 1941
Title:  PRR Locomotive Roster, Page 62, OCT 1941
Description:  Here is page 28 of a 34-page article (in five installments) entitled "Locomotives Of the Pennsylvania." It was published originally in the October 1941 issue of "Railroad" magazine, page 62. Partial Caption: "Pennsy fan excursions are popular. Here's K2s Pacific Number 3378, carrying white flags for an 'off-the-beaten-track' rail-ramble at Logansport, Ind., back on October 4th, 1936." Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #3378 and another locomotive whose number is not recorded. #3378 is a K-2S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata as a K-2 during July of 1911, rebuilt as a K-2S in February of 1914, and retired in November of 1938 after 27 years of faithful service. Those were the good ol' days of steam-powered railran excursions!
