Specs - E1 class, 54" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, engine weight of 172,000 lb, tractive effort of 36,097 lb. The class was retired between 1946-49 - this loco was retired on 6/20/1949. The photo appears to be a very old print (or reprint), not a newer one. The date is approximate. |
