Missouri Pacific 4-8-2 5311 was outside the Texas Pacific-Missouri Pacific Terminal Railroad of New Orleans’ RACE STREET YARD engine house. The locomotive had been built by Alco (62984) at Schenectady in April 1921 and was retired in July 1952. A Texas & Pacific 4-6-2 was in the house behind the 5311 and TPMPT S1 number 4 was in the background on the right. (approximate date of photo) |
