Built by Baldwin in 8/1903 as Vauclain compound 4-6-0 #420, it served well for nearly 51 years before being retired in November of 1954. It was caught here by an unknown photographer waiting for the scrapper's torch. It was renumbered several times - renumbered in 8/1908 to #1770, renumbered in 9/1912 to #4370, renumbered and simplified in 3/1924 to #2639, renumbered in 9/1938 to #1039. No photographer was listed for the photo. |
