The DPUs on the frac sand train lean into the 102 cars, though theyll be holding them back the next sis miles or so down to the Illinois River. We see them passing under the still abuilding Cheri Whitlock overpass. That should make a good vantage point for a southbound once its open next year. |

What was that engine number?? |
| Description: |
Having shot the southbound at Siloam, I turned my attention and car northbound, hoping to catch up to the oil train. I did, but not til Mt Olive Rd between the north end of Dorsey siding and Gravette. So here it is-CP 8561 north. Wait, what was the engine number leading the coal train?? BNSF 8561. If only Id gotten away from the house five minutes faster, I could have shot a meet between two trains with the same engine number, albeit different roads. What a hoot that would have been!! |
