The white shed in the background was built during World War II to transport Boeing B-29 fuselage components from the Fort Crook manufaturing plant in Omaha, NE to final assembly at various locations around the country. A total of 69 of these steel boxes were constructed and secured to flat cars, used to transport 536 Superfortress fuselages, included that of the Enola Gay. |
