CN 4704
Title:  CN 4704
Description:  CN local shoves a string of covered hoppers past RGL Logistics as it services a couple of industries along the former C&NW main line at Snells, WI on 29 Aug. '15. Previous occupants of the facility include Checker Logistics and Warehouse Specialists, Inc. Snells is now little more than a map dot in the Town of Neenah, Winnebago Co. A Post Office was established 4 May 1876, originally called Snell’s Station, sometimes referred to as Snell’s Crossing. This small, rural community once included a depot, cheese factory, sawmill, school, and stockyard. Snells was located at Mile 183 on the SOO’s Trevor to Somerset line and Mile 173.1 on the C&NW’s Milwaukee to Marinette line. It does not look like any real remnants of the original community remain. Even the station sign, erected after the depot was removed, is gone.
