The "1" & "5" have disappeared on this side of the cab....but this high hood GP35 would look good anyway!

Eric Posey General Does anybody know this locomotive is in Statesboro and why the numbers and lettering have been stripped off of it. 3/8/2008 2:30:12 AM
Eric Posey General Does anybody know why this locomotive is in Statesboro because the last time the 1209 was in Statesboro they were getting rid of it. And the next time you saw it was in Waycross. 3/9/2008 9:28:10 PM
Jared Blocker General The 1325 was used by the Ogeechee RR before the Georgia Midland/HOG took over operations in 2004. The 1209 was transferred from Americus to Statesboro to help the 1325 with the extra rock business at the time, but was replaced by the 4215 when the 1209 was sent to Progress Rail in Patterson, GA. 3/17/2008 12:59:22 AM
Eric Posey General Does anybody know why the GMR has been painted over and if this unit is sold or up for sale. 3/23/2008 10:31:11 AM
Jared Blocker General Hmm...never noticed on that side of the engine, but I know "GMR" is(was?) on the other side, as I have a picture of that side of the unit(unless that was blotted out recently too). The black paint was used by the GMR to cover up the Ogeechee Railway ID, then they painted "GMR" over the black paint. As far as I know, after talking to one of the GMR personnel the other day, the 1325 has not been sold or up for sale. 3/30/2008 1:18:56 AM
Eric Posey General Thanks Jared, I live in Cordele so I pretty much keep up with the Heart of Georgia and try to keep up with Georgia Midland as much as possible. My email address is mandymbritt@bellsouth.net so if need to know what is going on over this I pretty know or can find out. 4/1/2008 4:21:35 AM
Jared Blocker General No problem. I moved back home to Brooklet (near Statesboro) recently, so I try to keep up with the GMR too. My e-mail is jlaneblock@hotmail.com. 4/1/2008 3:03:19 PM
