NCDOT 1797 after hitting car

NCDOT 1797 after hitting car
NCDOT 1797 leading Amtrak 73 hit a car near MP60 (eastern Durham) this morning. After a 2 hour delay, the train was cleared to proceed. Damage appears very minor, the only thing I can see is just under the coupler.

Ron Moraca	General	Great photo, Nicholas! Wrecks between autos and trains usually end with the train as the victor versus the people in the car injured or dead. It's never a bright idea for an auto driver to get into a pissing contest with a locomotive.	11/4/2008 12:03:05 AM
