Rick Hoar General This gray looks great as does the picture but mostly NYC was about grime. They seldom ever had a clean engine. 5/11/2005 10:36:15 AM
Ron Moraca General Rick Hoar was right, Carl. The NYC almost never had a clean locomotive. I've seen photos of E8A's where the engines were so gunked up that you could hardly see their herald, "New York Central" was nearly obscured, and the only identifying feature of her was the lightning stripes on the nose.
