Great Catch  Contributor's Pick!
This has got to be one of my best catches of the year, a blue TFM SD40-2!! What made it even better was that this ex Milwaukee Road. Think of what and where this unit has seen.

bob terry General here is a small tale ..I work for BNSF and this unit was in Pueblo, CO about 4 years back. We had a late night drag up to Minnequa with more tonnage the 2 GP-60-M's could handle. We added this to the point..long hood forward thinking no problem... well no head end device and the connactions didn't work no radio. Cab heat 2 strip heaters...those were put to high...Rain and about 30 degrees. The Switch foreman rode the cab..I was running from the secon unit. Brought about 75 up the grade without a "stall" and came back down with 80 from the mill...without this rag tag consist with this motor added would have been a long nigh...It helped us walk the dog and get up and back..and it was in the color scheme shown in this pic...have a great one... 3/2/2012 12:27:28 PM
