What I THOUGHT Was Old Power
I spotted this GE D8-40C at Graniteville MA on the day's empty Bow coal train. I thought I found something old, but after looking up the unit, I found it was only built in 1992! It is still a lot fifferent than the usual NS wide cab units we see on the train.

Larry Hawkes General Don't see many of these around the NS system today. Some of the C39-8's have been scrapped already. 12/17/2008 12:54:24 PM
Ron Tilley General Nice to see standard cab units, most of them were in storage for quite a long time, but now many have been reactivated as the economy starts to pick up. 12/26/2009 1:16:25 PM
Jonelle DeFelice General I personally just like old stuff! :-) It adds variety! 12/26/2009 5:16:51 PM
