SD40-2's return to the Bayline
SD40-2's return to the Bayline. Many years ago the Bayline had an SD40 on the roster. It left during one of the numerous ownership shanges for the Bayline. Since then the Bayline has been basically all GP38 with a few exceptions. GWI, the Bayline's owner, recently bought the nearby Georgia Southwestern. The 2 SD40-2's seen here are from the GSWR. The Bayline sent a pair of GP38's to the GSWR in exchange for the SD's seen here. The SD's are seen here on the Chattahoochee Industrial Railroad, another GWI road. The SD's moved via Bainbridge GA to Saffold over CSX, then over the CIRR to Hilton where they will travel to Dothan AL and the Bayline via the Chattahoochee Bay, still another GWI road.
