Another New Orleans set of switcher that are no longer around are the Ryan Walsh switchers, #1 and #2. Ryan Walsh was a bulk terminal located near the Gentilly L&N yard and handled primarily coal that was loaded onto ships for transport overseas. Note the chevrons, this is what identified one engine from the other. The engines were later painted a dark blue with yellow handrails before being retired and the terminal shutdown. |
