Built in 1947 by Budd in Lot #9613-004 as NYC 56 seat chair #2937 (1 of 60 such cars, #2900-#2959), later PC #2937, to Amtrak in 1974 as #5660. Retired and sold to Denver Railcar as DRCX #5660. Denver Railcar planned to name this car the SILVER OAK, this planned name was later shortened to OAK, but was not applied. Also was intended as #800548. Morristown & Erie later acquired 6 of these NYC 56 seat chairs from Denver Railcar, and the #5660 was renumbered to ME #1008.
