Located between Opelika and Gold Ridge, AL, (on the former Central of Georgia "P" line between Birmingham (AL) and Columbus (GA), Stonewall (milepost 327.5) has intermediate signals in each direction. Just ahead lies Opelika where the #2716 will get coal, water and a turn on the wye to return the excursion to Birmingham
