BWCX. Here is an article by Marsha Mooney entitled "'Nancy' Makes Final Run ~ on Rt. 36." It was published originally in the "Altoona Mirror"; the exact date is unknown. The story recounts how "the last steam locomotive to be regularly operated in the Blair County rail complex" has been moved to the Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona, Pennsylvania. "Nancy" was built by the Vulcan Locomotive Works in 1918 and served at the Berwind-White Railroad Car Shops in Hollidaysburg until 1964. |
