BNSF 5276 Editors Pick!
BNSF Dash 9 5276 leading 2 warbonnets and a H1 Dash 9 lead a mixed freight across a wash on the "East main" in Kingman Canyon while a double stack train lead by four ES44DC's head towards Los Angelas on the "West main". This was really a "right place, right time" situation. West of Kingman, AZ, the two main tracks split just on the other side of the passenger station and take considerably different routes for about 10 miles before rejoining in the desert. In my entire time in and around Kingman, I saw only 6 Eastbounds and likely 20+ Westbounds. I am guessing Eastbounds run mainly at night.
