TORC 996  Contributor's Pick!
An EMD SD40-2 from the Toledo Ore Dock goes for a ride on Q352-18, headed to Cumberland for servicing and hopefully a good bath. It is usually kept in captive service in the Toledo area, so that is why it is it covered with reddish iron ore dust. TORC is a subsidiary of CSX and therefore has exactly the same color scheme. This is former CSX 8200, Seaboard 8200 and L&N 3572, built in October 1974.

Roberto Alaniz General I remember reading around TORC using de-turboed SD35s way back. I didn't know TORC still existed. Nice catch! 7/19/2011 7:40:04 PM
Fred Stuckmann General Cool catch. 8/1/2011 7:30:53 PM
