FAIRFIELD COUNTY was one of 10 New Haven combines (210-219) built by Pullman-Standard in September and October 1948 with a buffet, 14 parlor seats, 11 lounge seats, one drawing room and 2 roomettes. It was originally NH 214, then Penn Central 7186 and then AMTK 1702. It was remodeled as a baggage-coach combine in 1976 and renumbered 1605. (approximate month) |
