PAULS VALLEY OK March 9 1976 -- Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation 4449 steps out with the American Ffeedom train in tow. This shot is actually taken north of Pauls Valley on U.S. 77 where the highway paralells the tracks for several miles. A great subject and a great spot for pacing. Upon comparing the two scans of this train I see this one has a Santa Fe Bicentennial unit while the earlier in the day shot does not have the diesel. My memory is firm on the locations but I might be wrong on the exact date. I do not remember the diesel being addes. Anyone out there have input on the date or the diesel? |
