Michael V Greenspun	General	The illuminated red light is from the sun, if the red light was actually activated an emergency would exist and the train would come to a stop. This area could be the city of Tulare or Tulare County which is along the ex-Southern Pacific, now UP, San Joaquin Valley line between Fresno and Bakersfield. SP 8248
(unknown) CA June 30 1986 -- An SD40T-2 leads an SD45T-2 on a mixed freight. Unit 8248 was built in April 1980 and stricken from the roster when it was sold to Larrys Truck and Electric in July 2003. Back when this pic was taken I thought the location was Tubre CA. Since I find no listing of such a location I was probably loopy. Im certain this photo was taken somewhere south of San Francisco and north of Bakersfield. Help me out if you can.
