UP'S Van Buren Sub  Contributor's Pick!
UP Southbound Local Freight Train passing through the siding at Mayflower, Ar. after meeting a northbound freight that held the main until the local cleared. I was very pleased to find that UP 1900 was still in DRGW paint & the fact that someone had removed the UP Shield Logo Patch making for a much better catch, when you zoom in for a telephoto shot it almost looks like a true DRGW GP60, but what gives it away is the newer UP number series, still looks great considering & like hitting the lottery being this is probably the last DRGW unit left on UP that doesnt have a UP Shield Logo on the nose

Atlanta Rails General Go figure you would get something like this.....I didnt think there were any of these even left. Nice shot. 3/12/2012 2:57:35 AM
William H. Davis Jr. General I know, I've gotta be one of, if not the luckiest guy in the world to catch one of these DRGW GP60's leading a train, even a local, I was blown away when I saw the UP Shield nose patch was removed, at one time it had one, you can still see a bit left of the UP Shield on the nose, I really appreciate the person that removed it, I knew there was at least 1 if not both of these left, but I knew they were patched, the UP 1900 I can tolerate with just a patch on the side of the cab, when you do a telephoto shot it looks like a true DRGW GP60 coming at you, only thing that gives it away is the UP number series, Thanks Nikos 3/12/2012 5:03:15 AM
