| At one time Canton SD was an important junction for the Milwaukee Road, with two lines crossing here with routes to Sioux Falls, Sioux City, Madison/Chicago and Mitchell/Rapid City radiating outwards. BNSF and DAIR now provide the service and the eastern route is abandoned. This view looks over the site of the depot, which was moved to another location in town and restored. |
