PURCELL OK October 1973 -- Amtrak SDP40F 505 leads the southbound Texas Chief under the highway overpass as the train slows for a stop at the station. A new crew will take the train from here to Gainesville TX. EMD built the 505 (b/n 72694) in June 1973. After being traded in to EMD most of its internal components were used in F40PHR 363. That unit was acquired by Florida DOT for use in Tri-Rail Service as TRCX 810.
