C.S. Jackson General Wyatt, Mississippi and Juliette, Georgia are the best places to take a picture of a train leaning into a curve 9/26/2006 11:49:55 PM
william davis General A few other places come to mind as well, such as Reynoldsville, Illinois on UP'S Chester Sub, Vienna, Ga. on CSXT'S Fitzgerald Sub, Callahan, Fl. on CSXT'S Nahunta Sub just to name a few. The list would go on & on. 9/27/2006 12:33:33 PM
C.S. Jackson General I know one other curve that would be added to your list: Batesville, Ms. on CN's Grenada Sub (That's if You can catch a local going southbound or northbound or one of the hottest train on that sub: The CN E29471.) 10/2/2006 5:54:25 PM
william davis General Thanks for that new location, but I rarely visit the Grenada Sub, since it's not very busy, but if I were to hear a train on the scanner or happen to see a train as I was traveling over the Grenada Sub I would definitely try to film it. I remember seeing a local on the Grenada Sub one year on the way back from railfanning the Yazoo Sub & it had a GTW GP38-2 leading & I couldn't film it because it was dark. I was very disappointed that I didn't know about that train, if I had I definitely would've came over there to chase it. 10/3/2006 6:51:30 PM
C.S. Jackson General There's a another curve in the Magnolia State: Walls, Ms. on CN's Yazoo Sub (Another rrpicturearchives.net Contributor has taken photos of train activity coming around that curve.) 10/3/2006 11:34:49 PM
william davis General Thanks again 10/4/2006 10:11:37 AM
C.S. Jackson General You ever seen "Fried Green Tomatoes (At The Whistlestop Cafe)?" They've used the scenery at the curve at Juliette, Ga. When the A&WP 290 came around it. I liked the scene where the 290 came around the curve at night. (I almost destroyed the VCR rewinding the tape trying to see the 290.) 10/20/2006 1:18:11 PM

C.S. Jackson General Dan Johnson of Wesson, Miss. says he's been trying to get the perfect shot at your curve at Wyatt. But says he can't get it when the light is right. Any advice for him? 3/11/2007 6:46:52 PM
william davis General This shot was taken in the afternoon. You can shoot this curve at Wyatt, Ms. in the early morning on the inside of the curve from about 8 or 9 am until about lunch time, then the sun is straight up for an hour or so until it gets on the outside of the curve. Certain times of the year makes a difference as well with the sun angles. Just keep trying you'll eventaully get it. 3/12/2007 2:31:48 PM
C.S. Jackson General Thanks, I'll Relay the message to him. 3/12/2007 6:12:07 PM
