Action at Lane   Contributor's Pick!
Conrail freights heading down the ex PRR would come through the ex PRR yard at Waverly, then reach the Northeast Corridor at LANE Tower between Newark and Elizabeth. The Dutch door of a train was a perfect spot to see one, in this case, from a New York bound Jersey Coast train. A three unit set of then new GP40-2's leads the train out from the flyover.
