This 8967' train has 102 loads and weighs 12,151 tons, and is pulled by five General Electric locomotives - a trio of ES44DCs on the head-end (7628, 7411 and 7620) and ES44C4 6793 and Dash 9-44CW 4126 on the rear. Ash Hill is named for the black volcanic rock in this area, remnants of a lava field from approximately 6000 years earlier. |
