Here is an excellent example of a later Lima built locomotive from 1941. Traditionally called a "Northern" type loco, Southern Pacific preferred to call this type a "Golden State". This GS-4 class locomotive rode on 80" drivers and produced a whopping 300 psi boiler pressure. Elroy Giffin photo.
