Alan Grey General Great catch! The orange and black unit was renumbered and is actually "BN 200" to not conflict with the SD75M "BNSF 200". It's interesting that they removed the "SF" from the swooosh on the side. The BNSF 148 in this picture is also a renumber; the original 148 was destroyed in a wreck years ago. 10/2/2014 10:58:28 PM
Kevin Standlee General Thanks for the additional information. I wondered why the SF was missing. I've edited the unit information. I see the BNSF Fernley Local all the time because I live in the house across the street from the Old House Tracks in Fernley. 10/2/2014 11:06:32 PM
Alan Grey General I think this BNSF 148 was originally BNSF 161. They are fillling in roster number gaps in the GP60M series by renumbering the highest roster number units. That will open up roster numbers for standard cab GP60 units that are being renumbered from '8700' series into the high 100 series 'on top' of the safety cab units. 10/7/2014 9:52:22 AM
