#800285 SILVER IRIS         
Built in 1952 by Budd in Lot #9658-112 to Plan #9530 as CB&Q 6S-6RM-4DB sleeper #463 SILVER IRIS, 1 of 6 such cars (#460-#465) built in that Lot, which was ordered in March 1951; cars were delivered between August and September 1952. 2 cars were assigned to the BLACK HAWK, with the other 4 cars assigned to the AMERICAN ROYAL ZEPHYR, including the SILVER IRIS. In 1973, Amtrak acquired these 6 cars as #2150-#2155, the #463 as #2153. The #2153 was retired and sold to private ownership, and was later acquired by Robert Klein-Golden State Limited.
