This is the 2nd of 2 BN/MILW crossovers at Pine Street Bellingham. Its original purpose was a MILW crossover the GN/BN to get to the MILW car ferry dock. That used ended early 1960's but a new business happened on this spur in the early 1970's as the MILW got new business but that dint last long. The prime focus of this picture is to show the MILW switcher having to make a run up the "connector" to the roundhouse. |
