Youd never know it to see the place now, but Manorville was once an important junction on the LIRR. There was a branch here that split from the Main Line, connecting to the Montauk Branch at Eastport. It was commonly used by trains going to the Hamptons and east. It was abandoned in 1949; Manorville was never the same. RF 63 passes through without even breaking its pace. |
