| Illinois Central #1143 is caught at the historic 27th Street IC yard in Chicago along the lake shore. If the information is accurate on the back of the photo, the photo was taken soon after the IC shops rebuilt this 1916 Alco-Brooks Pacific. The loco survived until being sold for scrap in April of 1956, some 40 years of service later.
