Mid-Mountain. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train West of Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 20 June 1964. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #7077 and #9830. Both were built by EMD. #7077 is an EFS-17M built in 1956 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. #9830 is an EF-15A built in 1951 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. They are rockin' 'n' rollin' up the Allegheny Mountains with N-5 caboose #477526. |
