| Winter. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 03 January 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #5712 and #5860-B. Both were built by EMD. #5712 is an EP-22 built in 1952 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. #5860-B is an EP-20 built in 1948 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. They are passing under the 7th Street Bridge with a 20-car passenger train on their way to Harrisburg, Philadelphia, and New York; the time is 3:50 P.M. |
