| A CN through freight passes the former N. Superior St. grade crossing and approaches Appleton St. as it heads northeast via former C&NW rails at Appleton, WI on 11 Mar. '17. There used to be six tracks here, only the main line remains. The Wisconsin Grain and Malt Co. used to loom above the far side of the locomotives, until ca. '27. The C&NW freight house stood just out of frame to the left, a team track remained for quite a while after building was removed. The Wm. J. Mory Lumber, Wood & Coal yard stood behind me. |
